New Swingset

We were so happy once the weather started to turn nice so we could get the girls' new Swingset put together for them to play on. It took Pappa Bert, Matt, and a couple little helpers 2 full days to put together. Here are a few photos of the build...

Matt will put anyone to work...

Madilynn did a pretty good job of putting the screws in the holes so Matt could then screw them in. (Although I will admit when she was helping up inside the playhouse I found several that were placed anywhere that even looked like a hole....should have taken a photo of that!)

Once they got the slide out of the bag they couldn't even wait to go down it...so Pappa improvized....

Meredith double checking the directions to be sure we did it right...

Of course my little climber (aka Meredith) zooms right up the ladder! She currently doesn't like to go down the slide - she'd much rather back-up and climb down the ladder....not Madilynn...she LOVES going down the slide!

Here they were one night when I let them stay up to wait on Daddy to get home... they were watching for him...

During the build it was impossible to get Madilynn to take a nap - the swingset is set up in the front yard - right outside her window...so not only would we hear her on the monitor telling us she wanted to come help- we could see her trying to take a peek....

Here everyone is working to clear out the old fish pond that was in the front yard. We put the swingset right beside it and decided to get it cleared up to make a seating area...

Yep...everyone is hard at work...

The completed projects!!

Thanks so much for all the help papa, and Brian we couldn't have done it without you!!

Yep...she's my climber..

The girls love it and have already spent several hours swinging, climbing, and playing "store/restaurant" in this fun new playset....we're looking forward to many more hours outside this summer!!

Easter 2014

The Easter Bunny made a stop at our house - leaving lots of goodies for the girls. Including the movie Frozen, Sidewalk Chalk, books and of course some candy.

Madilynn was the first one up  - so she was more than excited when Meredith finally woke up so she could tell her all about what the Easter bunny brought them. She just had to take the yummy candy filled eggs to Meredith for her to enjoy!

We were able to celebrate Easter with the Snider's at Grandma Rosie and Grandpa Don's in Zanesville.

After enjoying a wonderful meal we went outside for an Easter egg hunt....
