Cookie and Buckeye making....

We were able to keep with our annual cookie baking and buckeye making the weekend following Thanksgiving....

We all headed to Mamma and Pappa's house and had a great day!

 

Started out making 2 batches of buckeyes....

 

Lots of help means 500+ buckeyes don't take too long to prepare!

 

The men enjoyed watching the Ohio State Buckeye vs Michigan game....poor Jason picked the wrong team to cheer for!

 

 

 

Now for the best part - choosing which cookie to eat!

 

Such a fun day!

Trick-or-Treating 2014

This year Trick-or-Treat was on Thursday evening - which worked out great for us to go to New Lexington to enjoy all the Halloween fun with family....

 

Our first stop was the Theisen's.... 

This little purple butterfly LOVED ringing the doorbells...

 

When we got back to Mamma and Pappa's we had lots of people ready to hand out treats...

Cousin Emily (we also got candy from Grandma Sharon, Aunt Jenny, and Pat...so these girls were set just from visiting one house!!!) But of course we still had to go visit with more family...

So much fun Trick-or-Treating with so much family....it made for a wonderful evening for all!

 

Pumpkin Carving-2014

This was the first time we have carved pumpkins since we've had the girls....luckily was had nice weather and were able to do it all outside!

So proud of this girl - getting in there and cleaning out her pumpkin...

She insisted on doing the carving herself - quite nerve wrecking for mommy - but we made it through with minimal help from mommy and NO injuries!!!

 

Next came the fun part - painting the pumpkins! 

Of course the first task was "making" purple paint...

 

That night we lit the pumpkins - not too bad....

Music Time - Halloween week

The last session of Fall Music Time was Tuesday of Halloween week....so everyone was encouraged to wear their costumes. The girls really enjoyed dressing up.

This is Marley - she's been going to Music Time as long as we have, and now she and Madilynn are the two oldest ones there.

 

We had a great time! So much fun dressing up to sing and dance!
