Meredith is 2 months!

Where has the time gone?!? It is so hard to believe that Meredith is already 2 months old!
We went to the Dr today, he said everything looks great! She got her first set of shots, and did really well she didn't cry too much. She is 11 lbs 2 oz which was the 50th percentile (Madilynn was 10 lbs 12 oz); she is 23 inches long- 75th percentile (Madilynn was 24 inches). We will continue with the gas drops that she gets before every feeding since they seem to be helping, but no need for anything else since overall she really seems to be doing very well.
She has really started smiling a lot over the past couple weeks. And just as her sister did, she likes to look out and see what is going on when you hold her. At first she didn't mind being held and rocked to sleep, now she seems to be taking after her sister in that when she is ready to go to sleep she likes to just be put into her bed so she can go to sleep.
She is doing fairly well with sleeping, going to bed around 8 or 9 and usually waking close to the 1, 3, and 5 o'clock hours. One night we had a stretch where she slept from 12 to 0645, but unfortunately that was only one night, and hasn't become a trend. I'm still off on maternity leave, my first day back is October 18th, so hopefully we can get rid of that 3 am feeding by then!
As much as her big sister Madilynn seems to love her, Meredith seems to love her just as much!! She doesn't seem to mind it when Madilynn gets in her face and yells "Baby!!  Oh, Baby!!!", or when Madilynn grabs her hands to do "row-row", or when Madilynn leans in for a loving kiss before bed.
Favorite places to hang out - swing (watching the lambs and moons go by), playmat.
Such a big girl - Enjoy the photos....

Though Tugger doesn't use this bed, we get plenty of use out of it anyway!
As you can tell both, Madilynn and Meredith seem to enjoy it!

And now for her "official" 2 month photos....

Until next time...

Celebrating Great-Grandpa Don's Birthday!

Yesterday we went to Aunt Bonnie's house to celebrate Great
-Grandpa Don's Brithday. We had a wonderful time - the weather was beautiful!
Uncle Jim made some ice cream - the girls had a blast feeding it to Madilynn!

Of course Max needed some too!

Madilynn LOVED Max (of course) and was often running around the yard calling for him...

Meredith also enjoyed the day - though she found a comfy spot on Aunt Connie's lap, and slept through most of the party!

The girls had a blast being pulled around the yard in the wagon!

So much fun!

Our Miss Madilynn

Everyone keeps asking how Madilynn is doing with Meredith....
She is doing great! She LOVES her little sister...some of the cute things she is saying: When Meredith starts to cry - "Oh, Baby"; When Meredith makes any other noise - "Bless you Baby". She loves to give her kisses - or high-five!

Madilynn is also very into waving - and shouting either "HI!" or "BYE!"

We watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse each night before bed...or Sesame Street before dinner...typically this includes her (and Tugger's) favorite snack - Cheerios!

And some other recent photos for you to enjoy!

Trip to South Carolina

We were fortunate to be able to go to South Carolina a couple weeks ago to visit with my Grandma, Aunt Rose, Uncle Ken, Shalina, Anna, and Kevin. It was a fairly short trip, but we had a great time. I took advantage of being there with my cousin Shalina, and had her take some pictures of us. We just need to work on getting Madilynn to smile!!!  Enjoy!

Our family photo: I can't decide which I like better - so figured I'd share both!

Grandma Gi-Gi with Meredith

Madilynn really enjoyed riding on Gi-Gi's "Cadillac", as well as playing with the three dogs - Molly, Ellie, and Millie....she sure does love dogs!!!

Here are a few of the photos Shalina was able to get of the girls - Madilynn wasn't very cooperative...but she still got a couple despite her elusive efforts...

The girls did great on the ride there, and the ride home....the ride home was especially quiet - I think they were exhausted!

This is a photo of the BEAUTIFUL quilt Anna made for Meredith!

We had a great time, and hope we get to visit again, hopefully sooner than later!

Krista & Mitchell's Wedding

We attended Matt's cousin Krista's wedding September 1, 2012. I was able to take some photos at the reception. However, as you can see from those posted below - I didn't even get any of the happy bride and groom! :(   Attending a wedding while trying to take care of 2 children unfortunately left little room for "enjoying" the typical wedding traditions! Luckily Grandma Teri helped chase around busy little Miss Madilynn! Enjoy the photos!
