Memorial Day - 2015

This Memorial Day Matt and I both were able to take off work and head back to join in the festivities in Somerset. Matt worked his butt off and was able to fit back into his Navy Uniform which allowed him to march in the parade and honor all the veterans at the local cemeteries. We were so proud of him! It was great watching him in the parade!
Get ready for photo overload....
Waiting for the parade to begin...

Madilynn waved that little flag the ENTIRE parade, and stood with her hand over her heart (well sort of) she REALLY enjoyed it and took it all in.

Once Meredith heard the first 21 gun salute she insisted on keeping her ears covered the rest of the day....

Uncle John, and Matt in the background

After the parade and ceremony at the square it was off to the cemetaries where Matt helped place flowers on each veteran's grave...

Grandpa Lenny was so proud I am sure...

Such a great day - so glad the girls got to experience this...and it's truly spectacular to see!

The day always concludes with good times at the Legion...so glad daddy was able to visit and share stories with family and friends!
Looking forward to next year!
