Kitchen Renovation 2012!

These first few photos are from when we first moved in....alot had already changed since these, however we forgot to get true "before" photos....

One day I came home from work to this....

After lots of hard work by Matt, his dad, and Jason it is starting to come along....

The cabinets we bought were unfinished...so Matt has been staining them himself....
We still have to pick out new counter tops. But it is coming along nicely....
Notice the "Beam" Matt and I put up today....(on the left)...someday one will be on this side too...

11 Months Old!

I can't believe our Miss Madilynn is now 11 months old! Where has the time gone?
In just one more month she will be a year old! That is hard to believe.
Here are her 11 month photos - taken today....

This month flew by - I can't even believe it is already the 17th! With Christmas and New Year's celebrated this past month we stayed very busy! Not much in the way of updates on Miss Madilynn - as not much has changed since last month. She will still wave and say "Hi" sometimes - but
not nearly as much as she was last month....guess I should have left the Santas out a little longer! She isn't really saying anything....don't get me wrong...she "talks" A LOT - it's just we can't really tell what it is she is saying!  She still only has the two top and two bottom teeth. She is still crawling to get around, though she is getting more and more brave and stands on her own from time to time - though still not really taking any steps. She did get a new dinosaur that she can push around, so I think that will help! One of the cutest things she has been doing this month is turning her little stool upside down, and putting Ruby in it...which she then pushes all around the living room floor.  She is still enjoying all of her new toys...it is so fun to just watch her and see what she is going to come up with next! She's doing very good at sleeping through the night, and sleeping in on days mommy has off. She is also getting much better at taking 2 long naps on mommy's day off - I think mainly because the days she goes to daycare she only takes 1 nap - I think she is just exhausted the days we have off!
Her new shirt from Aunt Katie - dressed it up with a little pink!

This is how she pushes Ruby around - it is the CUTEST thing!

Helping with the dishes...

Playing with Tugger...

She just LOVES dogs - here she is loving on Aggie....

What a month it has been - can't wait to see what the next month has to bring!

Christmas 2011

What a wonderful first Christmas Miss Madilynn had! Mommy had to work on Christmas day, so everyone came over on Christmas Eve to enjoy our time together.
Because this was the first time Madilynn has really "opened" gifts she didn't really know what to do...so we had to do a majority of it for her. Below are a few photos of our evening...
A new shirt from Aunt Katie.

A new book from Grandma - it has a button that plays music, Madilynn LOVED pushing the button!

A new drum from Uncle Brian

A huge cow from Uncle Jason

A new music/light play table from Grandma Teri and Papa
Another cammo outfit - this one from Uncle Jason!
Look at me standing all by myself!!!

Opening new blocks from Mommy and Daddy (Tugger has chewed up quite a few of these...so they have been put away for awhile).
Look mom - a New Farm!
Loved riding in my box....

Madilynn had a wonderful Christmas - she was spoiled with all of the new toys she received - but sure does love everyone of them. We wish that we could have seen even more of our extended families over the holiday...but Mommy had to work....

10 Months Old!

Look who is 10 months old!!!

"Hi!"

Eye are still blue...

Now that Miss Madilynn is 10 months old...she is keeping mommy and daddy VERY busy! She is crawling, crawling, crawling...EVERYWHERE!!! Daddy finally had to put the cabinet locks on because she LOVES to open up all of the cabinet doors, especially the one with the stereo in it, boy did she like to turn the stereo on...and off...and on...and off....and on....and off!!!! (Needless to say we stopped that!)  She is still pulling up on everything, but just cruises along the furniture...no steps by herself...yet!  Her middle top *two* teeth have joined the party....which involved many sleepless nights for mommy and daddy. Madilynn has so much fun playing and exploring during the day we are lucky to get an hour nap....and REALLY lucky if we get two naps!  Madilynn has upgraded to a "Big Girl" car seat...and seems to enjoy it....though mommy is finding it challenging now that she is not confined to her baby carrier once we get home until mommy is ready to let her out!!
One of the cutest things she has started to do this month is wave...and say "Hi!"....which she has a ball doing...waving to the Christmas tree, and all the lights, and Santa...she says "Hi!" to them multiple times a day.  She really enjoys playing with Tugger and now will hold his toys up for him to come and get....she does pretty good at knowing which are his and which are hers...though sometimes I've found her with his bone in her mouth! YUCK!!!
She is eating more and more normal foods - mostly at daycare, because mommy is still scared of choking...but when she does get normal food she really seems to enjoy it!
Often she switches which hand she picks things up with, but most often seems to favor her right.

Yum...bananas.

This month has gone so fast - we can't believe Christmas is almost here! Madilynn has been helping in the kitchen....

Sometimes she will chew on her links and just go about her day....it is funny!

Can't wait to see what the next month holds.....

9 Months!

Boy time sure does fly! I cannot believe Miss Madilynn is already 9 months old!
Here are a few updated photos of her for you to enjoy!

She is always wanting to crawl - making it very difficult for mommy to get a good shot!

Still LOVES to stand up!

This month has been quite different from the last! Now Miss Madilynn is able to CRAWL! She started just a little over a week after she turned 8 months! Some of the things she likes to get into - Tugger's food if she comes in the kitchen, the plants in the family room, and the magazines in the family room.
She is quick, and once she gets under an end table it is difficult to get her out!!  She is pulling herself up on just about everything, though she is still only taking steps if she is holding on to you. She is getting better at sitting down, rather than just falling!
She still only has the 2 bottom teeth...I feel like for the past month I've been saying that tooth #3 is on it's way....well it still is!! It hasn't popped through yet!
Madilynn has started eating a few normal foods, such as cheerios and bananas (mommy's scared to try much else for fear of her choking!).
Still taking 2 naps (for the most part) though now they are more often close to 1 hour rather than 2-3hrs in length. Many of her clothes are either 9month or 12 months (just depends on the fit), I have had to upgrade to the 12 month sleepers since the others were getting too short, and constricting her toes!
She goes in for her 9 month check up on Tuesday, so I'll have official ht and wt then...just a few weeks ago we were in for another eye infection/clogged tear duct (hence my thinking the tooth was coming), and at that point she weighed 18 lbs 8 oz.
We did not make it out for trick or treat this 1st Halloween (that was the day she started with her eye problems, and wasn't feeling well...she slept from when I picked her up from school until bedtime!), but we did at least have an adorable outfit to wear that Aunt Rose got for her. (I'll save the costume I bought for next year, it would have probably been too big anyway).  Here are some photos of her in her Halloween outfit.

She still doesn't really say anything distinct, she babbles A LOT, especially when she is talking to Tugger. The closest to anything she "says" sounds like: I got it, and DaDa.

Here are a couple other photos for you to enjoy:

This is how she keeps busy while I am putting her clothes away....

Until next time....
