Trip to Florida!

We have just retuned from our trip to Florida, and what a great trip it was!
Madilynn did wonderfully in the car, she is an excellent traveller!
Our first stop was in Fort Pierce Florida to visit with our old Navy friends Britt and Brian, and their two children...Brooklyn (2.5 yrs), and Cru (3 weeks older than Madilynn).
We stayed with them for a few nights, and even enjoyed an afternoon at the beach!

Cru and Madilynn ready for our first trip to the beach...since the rain FINALLY stopped!

Mommy didn't do a good job of watching the waves...we got a little too close!

After we left Britt and Brian's we went north to my grandma's for a few days. We had a great time, and Madilynn got to work on her "eating out" skills...she did pretty well!

After we left Grandma's we went further north to Gainesville for cousin BJ's wedding...

Devin and Kate's Wedding October 1, 2011

I'm not sure what I was doing during this reception, but I somehow made it through without getting a single photo of the Bride and Groom!
Below are some of the photos we did take - which does not nearly reflect what fun we had!

We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed getting to help celebrate this wonderful day!

7 Months!

A couple days late - but better late than never!

I can't believe Miss Madilynn is already 7 months old!
She has grown so much - she's not much of a baby anymore! :(

Still with only 1 bottom tooth - look closely and you can see it!

What a month this has been - I already shared photos from our big trip to South Carolina - which makes me feel better about our even BIGGER trip to FLORIDA coming up in October! She traveled like a pro - did wonderful! It helps that now she is eating baby food for most of her meals - which allowed for easy feeding while driving in the car. Her favorite so far seems to be Carrots...though she is just now starting to explore the fruits that are available.
She is doing wonderfully at night - sleeping through the night consistantly...which means mommy is sleeping too! :) On days I do not work she will often sleep until 8 or 9 am! She is typically only up for ~ 1.5 hours then it is time for nap #1 which will last around 2 hours!  She wakes up and then after a few hours of play (or shopping on mommy's days off) she is ready for nap #2.  Bedtime is still sometime around 8pm. We have upgraded to the big girl bath (in the big inflatable duck) and she really enjoys splashing and playing in the water. (I'll share some photos soon)
She is standing with assistance, and taking a few steps while holding on to mommy or daddy. She still has not started crawling- though this may change in the next week or two - as you can tell by the photos she is really starting to get up on her knees. She sits all by herself (unless being pushed over by her cousin!)...and enjoys playing with all of her toys new and old (a few of Matt and Katie's old toys!). She babbles a lot - no "Da-da" or "Ma-ma" yet but she is saying "Ba-Ba" quite a bit...she also enjoys making raspberries - cute, unless she tries to do it while I am feeding her - then it is just a mess!
She is already well into the 9 month size sleepers - and even some of these are getting a little small! Good thing we have plenty of 9 month, and 12 month pants from our friend Lilah to wear this winter!

Some photos from the past month to enjoy!
This is why Madilynn doesn't play on her playmat much anymore!

These photos were from BEFORE her 6th month-day - but I just love her in this dress and wanted to be sure to share - these are when she just started sitting up, and we realized she needed more toy options at home (this is at cousin Ann's house in Cleveland).

Big girl - standing up. She doesn't pull herself up on furniture - yet!

Madilynn's new baby-doll - Lucy - that Great Grandma Sharon made for her!

Trip to South Carolina

Our trip to South Carolina to visit started out with a visit from Gabriella and Christy who flew in from Arizona to make the drive with us! We were able to enjoy the pool one last time for the summer. Unfortunately I didn't get any of those photos on my camera - but hope to share those soon.
Enjoy these couple photos of the girls I was able to get. It's hard to believe there is only 6 months between them!

Our trip to South Carolina was a surprisingly smooth drive. We all piled into my dad's van for the 8+ hour trip! (Dad, Matt, Me, Madilynn, Christy, Gabriella, Tugger - with 2 pack-n-plays, 2 car seats, 1 stroller, and all our luggage the van was FULL!) The girls rode wonderfully - and the trip was a breeze!
We made the trip to stay at Aunt Rose and Uncle Ken's so we could visit with them and GiGi for a few days. Here are some photos from the trip....

Madilynn just LOVED GiGi's necklaces!

Not only is Matt a wonderful Dad - but he is a SUPER Uncle!

Aunt Rose borrowed this Exersaucer from a friend - Madilynn LOVED it!

GiGi with Madilynn - the dress she is wearing is the result of Mommy and Aunt Rose's hard work - well worth it - it turned out adorable!
The trip went by way too quickly - we had an awesome time!

6 Months Old!

Can you believe Miss Madilynn is 6 months old already?!?!
Boy, has she grown in the past month!
I'll share the photos first, then fill you in on what she has been up to.
Please enjoy these photos - they were taken by my cousin Shalina last weekend. They turned out awesome...and this isn't even all of them!

Look at her little belly hitting the floor!
The bloomers have her name on them, they were a gift from Pat for her baptism...they are going to be even more adorable once she starts crawling!!!

Tugger had to check out things during the photo shot.

And for all my Zeta sisters...

Madilynn and her daddy...

This past month she has started eating foods besides plain rice cereal.
She is not a big fan of them, but they are growing on her.
I'll see if I can post video of her eating squash for the first time...it is hilarious!
She is rolling front to back and now back to front with ease....thus making her much more mobile...no longer can  you leave her in one spot and expect her to be there when you return! She isn't crawling yet, but is getting there. She still LOVES her jumper.  She gets so excited when she stands...she is getting much better at pulling herself up when she holds onto you - she hasn't pulled herself up using any of the furniture yet. She is able to sit all by herself.  Even this past week she has really gotten a lot stronger, and is able to sit all by herself for longer periods of time!
She is sleeping the entire night most every night, still goes to bed around 8 pm, and on days I am not working and she doesn't have to get up for daycare she will sleep until 8ish.
She really enjoys her daytime naps as well - I think she takes after her mommy on this one!
She is weighing in at 16lbs 14oz (today at the Dr), and is supposedly 28 inches long. I still think this is a little exaggerated, even though I did make the nurse measure her twice!  She is wearing 6 - 9 month clothes...she has almost fully grown out of all of her 6 month sleepers....good thing I had already stocked up on 9 month ones! Anything that is one piece is what she is growing out of quickly - because she is so long (and her feet are so big).
At around 5 1/2 months is when Miss Madilynn's first little tooth started peeking through! Her bottom left tooth is the first and only one so far! I don't think others are too far behind...
That's what she's been up to this month....I can't believe she is getting soo big!
